![]() The car has had just four owners, the first until 1979 when he is believed to have retired from driving and garaged the car for the next 17 years, as detailed in the magazine article, a copy of which is included in the history file. Such is this car’s originality, even the rear door cards are still wrapped in their protective factory plastic and the original first tax disc is still present in the windscreen. The car shows just 21,000 miles, believed genuine and is finished in Valencia blue with brown vinyl interior and wood cappings. This little gem was first registered in January 1969 and boasted the twin-carb 75bhp 1,296cc engine driven through four speed manual transmission giving extra pep over its more sedate stablemates, effectively becoming the Spitfire MkIII for the family man. This FWD Triumph 1300 TC is a rare car in its own right, made rarer still because of its fantastically original condition and low mileage - so much so in fact that Triumph World magazine felt it necessary to feature the car in a four-page piece in their July 2009 issue. ![]()
